Historic Rail Bus Tour

Society, MCC collaborate on sold-out tour

Led by Chicago & North Western Historical Society achivist Craig Pfannkuche, a full bus navigated its way from McHenry County College south to Cary and then north through Ridgefield, McHenry, Richmond to Genoa City, Wis., before winding south through  Hebron, Alden, Harvard, Marengo and then to Union. Lines discussed included the C & NW, Milwaukee Road, the Kenosha and Rockford Railroad, Fox Valley Railroad, the Elgin & Belvidere Electric Co. and the Woodstock & Sycamore Traction Co.
