New game at Old World

July 21 – Saturday

• 1:30 p.m. – Old Fashioned “ base ball” match between the McHenry County Independants and the  Diamond Eagles of Old World Wisconsin, Eagle, Wis. Located about 17 miles north of Elkhorn, off Route 67. Old World Wisconsin documents the settlement of 19th- and early 20th-century Wisconsin and includes an 1870s’ crossroads village and 10 ethnic farmsteads. Regular park admission applies. The McHenry County Historical Society marks its 55th museum year with an opening soiree from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, May 4, at the museum, 6422 Main St., Union.

Old Fashioned, “base ball” match at Village Hall Park off Barreville and Ames roads in Prairie Grove. Civil War-era game pits the McHenry County “Independants” against the Grayslake Athletics.
