2023 Mt. Thabor Cemetery Walk

Join local historian and McHenry County cemetery expert Trudie Dryer as she takes you on a walking tour of one of the county's first Catholic cemeteries. Learn about its origins and the interesting – and sometimes tragic – lives of the adults and children buried there. Walk will take about 90 minutes, with questions to follow. The cemetery is located on the northwest corner at the intersection of Route 176 and Mt. Thabor Road in Crystal Lake. Because of parking restrictions, registration is limited to the first 20 participants. Cost is $5. Registration is full; however, you can register for our waiting list HERE. You will be contacted in the event someone cancels. With enough interest, we will schedule a second Mt.Thabor walk for the fall.
