Historic school bus tour

Eunice Ebel Andreas (seated) was among those who attended the May 31 bus tour of historic, one-room schools and the Algonquin Turner in conjunction with McHenry County College. Andrea’s father was the superintendent at the Ford School in Lake in the Hills for a number of years. Weldon Andreas, whom Eunice married when she was 18, was the last teacher at the school. Eunice and her younger twin brothers, Albert Jr and Adelbert, all attended Ford School. Tour attendees also visited the men’s club building and Haligus School, built in 1861. (click photo below)
