1859 Base Ball

Old Fashioned, “base ball” match at Village Hall Park off Barreville and Ames roads in Prairie Grove. Civil War-era game pits the McHenry County “Independants” against the Grayslake Athletics. Elmhurst History Museum Director Dave Oberg will umpire and emcee, explaining the rules and teaching the audience to cheer and jeer in proper 19th-century fashion. Free.
